We are a well-organised, friendly and forward-thinking practice that is committed to high quality care alongside the continued development of our team. We would like to appoint a pharmacist to join our team as soon as possible.
This post is for a pharmacist working at our practice for 4 hours per week to hold face-to-face and telephone medication reviews, optimising treatment for long-term conditions and the management of clinics which might include DOAC clinics and chronic disease management. The candidate will provide expert medicines advice to GPs and other healthcare professionals, lead Quality Improvement projects and clinical audits, drive the prescribing team forward with innovation and high-quality patient care, and ensure safe and cost-effective prescribing.
Salary negotiable depending on experience. This post is funded under the primary care Workforce Fund and initially you will be contracted for the next nine months with the possibility after that of a renewed 12-month extension each year for as long as the funding is available.

Candidates are required to have a MPharm/BPharm undergraduate degree, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have at least 2 years post qualification experience as pharmacist. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
