About Us: Llan Healthcare is a friendly GP practice serving ~20,000 patients in east Cardiff. Our IT team ensures digital systems are safe, efficient, and aligned with best practice. NHS on-the-job training is provided, so prior healthcare IT experience is not required.

About the Role

As an IT Support Lead, you will support and develop our primary care IT systems and digital workflows across all Llan Healthcare sites. You will improve communication, data quality, and system reliability, directly contributing to better patient care and staff efficiency. This is a great opportunity to grow your IT career in NHS primary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of IT systems
  • Collect, collate, analyse practice data, and generate reports
  • Support and improve clinical templates and digital workflows
  • Troubleshoot IT issues and improve system reliability
  • Implement and manage digital communication tools
  • Support new software integration and identify digital improvements
  • Oversee data quality and ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and information governance
  • Develop, maintain, and review IT and clinical system policies
  • Provide system support, training, and guidance to staff

Skills Required

  • Strong general IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical staff
  • Highly organised, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with data management, confidentiality, and data protection
  • Full UK driving licence
