The Role
We are looking for a strong, experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day finance operations across the Rocket Uniforms Group. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. Youβll work closely with the directors, operations teams, and external accountants to ensure accurate records, healthy cashflow, and smooth financial processes across multiple businesses. This role is fully office-based in Lincoln and suits someone who enjoys ownership, structure, and being part of a fast-moving team.
- Act as the main internal finance contact for directors
- Liaise with external accountants to support management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory reporting
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into group finance systems
- Raise and issue sales invoices accurately and promptly
- Maintain and manage sales ledgers across the group
- Proactively chase outstanding debts via phone and email
- Monitor aged debtors and escalate risks where appropriate
- Process, review, and code supplier invoices accurately
- Manage supplier accounts and resolve queries promptly
- Schedule and run supplier payment runs in line with cashflow priorities
Bank, Cashflow & Financial Control
- Perform regular bank reconciliations across all group bank accounts
- Support cashflow monitoring and working capital management
Payroll & VAT Support
- Liaise with operations staff to collate and prepare payroll information
- Submit payroll data to external accountants/payroll providers
- Prepare VAT information for submission by external accountants
- Maintain accurate VAT records across multiple VAT registrations
Systems & Process Improvement
- Work across Sage and Xero accounting systems
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and controls
- Support standardisation of finance processes as the group continues to grow

- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
- Strong working knowledge of bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledgers, VAT preparation, and credit control
- Experience using Sage and/or Xero
