Translate technical evidence, commercial insights and programme outcomes into accessible knowledge that accelerates the commercialisation and adoption of agri-tech innovation. Ensures evidence & insights generated through trials, demonstrations and business support activities are captured, synthesised and disseminated to the right audiences to support adoption, investment and market growth.
Function as a bridge between technical delivery, commercial development and sector engagement, ensuring that knowledge generated through the programs of work, CR&D and commercial activities accelerates venture growth, supports wider sector understanding and demonstrates The UK Agri-Tech Centre impact.
Team Purpose:
- Generate the robust data, evidence and insights Agritech businesses need to demonstrate reliable performance to customers and investors.
- Provides sector and commercial insights to improve product market fit, understanding of customer requirements & builds an investable case for deployment at scale.
- Works with delivery partners and other stakeholders in a proactive, collaborative manner as part of an innovation ecosystem that supports agritech adoption and business growth.
This role is field-based, which means you’ll be travelling to client sites, partner sites and our locations as part of your day-to-day work. You may also work from your home address for a minority of the week or attend one of our sites from time to time. Our main locations are: Oxford, York, Edinburgh, Cranfield, Newport (Midlands).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure programme, CR&D and commercial outputs are accessible and understandable to end users.
- Improved awareness of agritech developed/supported by The UK Agri-Tech Centre amongst end users, opinion leaders and advisors.
- Clear & evidence impact of The UK Agri-Tech Centre activities to customers, end users, advisors and investors.
- All knowledge transfer outputs (internal and external) are of a high quality & standard.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Capture and synthesise evidence and insights from agri-tech trials, demonstrations and commercial activity.
- Translate technical and commercial information into clear, audience-appropriate knowledge outputs.
- Produce high-quality materials including case studies, insight reports and commercial readiness briefs.
- Ensure evidence clearly demonstrates performance, impact, value and practical application.
- Analyse data from programme activities to identify key learning that supports end-user adoption.
- Synthesise lessons learned to improve The UK Agri-Tech Centre customer understanding and service delivery.
- Work across The UK Agri-Tech Centre to ensure consistent evidence capture and effective knowledge transfer.
- Support knowledge exchange, events and stakeholder engagement across the agri-food value chain.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, marketing and communications teams to amplify the impact of knowledge transfer activities.
- Provide relevant information in a timely manner and of a high standard to internal and external stakeholders.

What we are looking for
Essential:
- Proven experience in a Senior Knowledge Transfer role within the agriculture/supply chain.
- Proven ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible and engaging content for non-technical audiences, to communicate performance, evidence and commercial potential clearly.
- Comfortable working with technical data, customer insights and commercial messaging.
- Experience producing knowledge outputs such as reports, case studies, guidance materials or sector insights.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to distil complex information into clear messaging.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with multiple stakeholders across a value chain or innovation ecosystem.
- Ability to facilitate productive interactions between businesses, industry partners and innovation stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust across diverse audiences, including value chain stakeholders, advisers and investor audiences.
- Ability to interpret data and evidence generated through trials and other activities.
- Comfortable working with performance data, user insights and technical information to identify key messages and insights.
- Experience working within innovation programmes, sector development initiatives or collaborative projects.
- Ability to manage multiple outputs and priorities within a structured programme environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple knowledge outputs and engagement activities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience working within the agriculture, agri-food or agri-tech sectors.
- Familiarity with innovation commercialisation processes, particularly within early-stage or scaling ventures.
- Experience supporting technology adoption or knowledge exchange within farming systems.
- Understanding of agricultural supply chains and value chain dynamics.
- Experience contributing to impact measurement or monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
