The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Porter to support in food preparation and ensure the smooth running of our kitchen. In this role, you will assist with obtaining ingredients, clean food preparation equipment, and maintain a safe, tidy kitchen environment. You will obtain necessary ingredients and small equipment for food preparation, follow standard recipes, and ensure food preparation is executed according to the Club’s specifications. You will use safe and sanitary food handling practices, maintain cleanliness in your workstation, and wash all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils to the required standards. Your duties will include cleaning food storage areas, managing waste, and ensuring all kitchen utensils are properly stored. You will actively contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic kitchen environment, assist the chef team where needed, and participate in departmental meetings. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen at a prestigious golf and country club while contributing to our high standards of food, hygiene and service.
Experience & Skills Required
Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.
Schedule
We operate a 7-days a week business, between 0600 to 2300. Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours - weekends and bank holidays. Evening availability for functions (until 0200).
