Role Description
The Centre Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Stoke on Trent , responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service centre. This role includes managing staff schedules and performance, ensuring high standards of customer service, and coordinating tyre fitting and vehicle servicing activities. The Centre Manager monitors stock levels, liaises with suppliers, and ensures that products and services are available and delivered efficiently. They oversee health and safety compliance, maintain accurate records, handle cash and invoicing, and support local marketing and promotions. The role also involves coaching team members, resolving customer issues, and driving performance targets related to sales, service quality, and profitability.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing a retail or automotive service centre, including staff supervision and daily operational oversight.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, handle inquiries, and resolve issues effectively.
- Good understanding of tyres, and basic vehicle servicing, or a willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
- Competence in stock management, scheduling, and basic administration, including handling invoices and cash.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, with strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a workshop or service centre setting.
- Previous experience in the automotive, tyre, or related industry is beneficial.
- Full, valid driving license and the right to work in the location of the role.
