William Perkin Church of England High School is a highly successful and heavily oversubscribed school that achieves exceptional outcomes for its students. It opened as a Free School in September 2013, consistently placing its GCSE progress measures in the top 5% of schools nationally. The school has a flourishing sixth form with a specialism in STEM subjects and a strong, distinctively Christian ethos with open admissions criteria. It is part of the Twyford CE Academies Trust, the top‑performing MAT in the UK, and has been rated ‘Outstanding’ in all Ofsted areas (May 2025) and in its most recent SIAMS inspection (January 2024).
As a language specialism school, William Perkin places languages at the centre of its curriculum. All students study a foreign language almost every day, and languages are compulsory at GCSE, producing outstanding results. The department offers A‑levels in French, German and Spanish and hosts extracurricular language clubs and trips to target language countries.

The successful candidate will have:
- A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
- Ability to teach Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish to KS4 and French to at least KS3; KS4 teaching is a possibility for the right applicant)

- Strategies to motivate and enthuse all students across the ability range, as part of a whole school approach to raising achievement
