This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to work within a forward‑thinking and ambitious staff team, supported by an experienced Senior Leadership Team and Head of Department.

Ada Lovelace is one of four schools within the highly successful Twyford Trust, based in the London Borough of Ealing. This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about their subject, enjoys working collaboratively, inspires learners, and is committed to contributing to shared goals and continued excellence across the department.

At Ada Lovelace High School, we place a strong emphasis on valuing staff time and supporting professional growth. Our approach is designed to help teachers thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Students finish early on Fridays, giving staff dedicated time for high-quality CPD every Friday afternoon. This ensures that professional development is embedded into the working week. Our commitment to staff wellbeing goes hand in hand with our ambition for excellence, with a centralised academic curriculum alongside shared pastoral systems and resources.

We provide opportunities for colleagues to deepen subject knowledge, engage in research, and undertake further qualifications such as National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). Our CPD programme is comprehensive and forward-thinking, ensuring staff remain up to date with the latest developments in pedagogy and curriculum design. At Ada Lovelace, we believe the biggest impact happens when we work together as a team. Team culture is central to everything we do, and we regularly remind ourselves that ā€œwe are all developing teachers.ā€ Collaboration, consistency, and shared learning are at the heart of our approach.

  • Exceptional professional development and career progression
  • Positive working relationships at all levels
  • Opportunities to gain experience within four different Trust schools with a shared commitment to collaboration

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students across the ability range
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
  • A reflective approach and drive for continuous improvement
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of the school

The school reserves the right to research shortlisted candidates on social media platforms and the internet, and the recruitment panel may take this information into consideration during the recruitment process. The Twyford Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo the child protection screening appropriate to the post, including an enhanced disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and references from previous employers.

The Twyford Church of England Academy Trust is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME) and disabled people are currently under‑represented among our staff, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is proud to be the newest school in the Twyford CofE Academies Trust, serving the local Ealing community with an ambitious vision and outstanding standards. Our modern, purpose‑built site provides an inspiring environment for learning, with light‑filled classrooms and state‑of‑the‑art facilities that support both academic excellence and creativity. Rooted in the legacy of Ada Lovelace as a pioneering thinker, our ethos encourages innovation, problem‑solving, and courage in learning. With a broad and balanced curriculum, extended learning opportunities, and a thriving Sixth Form offering T Levels, we are committed to stretching every student academically and personally.

At Ada Lovelace, we work tirelessly to ensure all students achieve their very best and, as our motto says, Make the Leap. Rated ā€˜Outstanding’ by Ofsted (2023), Ada Lovelace is part of one of the top‑performing Multi‑Academy Trusts in the UK, consistently achieving GCSE progress scores in the top 1% nationally. Whilst the school has a strong Christian ethos, its admissions policy is open rather than faith‑based, and it is heavily oversubscribed.
