Grade and Salary: L8 – L12 (£62,139– £68,564 per annum)

The Two Counties Trust is an exciting place to be joining our Multi Academy Trust. We operate from a Head Office in Ashfield with 10 schools in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire along the M1 corridor. We have experienced a period of rapid growth over the last few years and as part of our ongoing development plans, we are now ready to appoint to this new role.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be welcomed into a team of collaborative, forward‑thinking Trust Senior Leaders who are all experts in their field. This is a school‑based role for part of the week, teaching in your specialist field of Modern Foreign Languages. For the remainder of the week, this is a Trust‑based leadership role with a focus on developing best practice and leading on improving Modern Foreign Languages teaching in collaboration with a team of professionals across our schools. The post holder exemplifies a model of excellent practice, maintaining a clear focus on outstanding delivery to learners and facilitating best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role, working closely with subject/senior leaders across Trust schools and other leading practitioners, in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and practices that lead to improvements in Modern Foreign Languages teaching across the Trust with a focus on Spanish.
  • Develop and deliver professional learning for teachers and staff.
  • Support and mentor faculty members to raise teaching standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on curriculum design and assessment.
  • Participate in cross‑trust initiatives to promote best practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced senior leader of Modern Foreign Languages with a proven track record.
  • Proven ability to lead positive change within MFL faculties.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish as a specialist language.
  • Fully qualified and experienced teacher in a senior leadership role.
