We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials, support shipping and receiving operations, and maintain efficient warehouse flow. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and experience in warehouse environments. Responsibilities

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs; report any mechanical issues for further maintenance.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or safety hazards.
  • Support stock organisation, replenishment, and order fulfilment activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Experience in materials handling, load & unload procedures, and shipping & receiving processes.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques.
  • Previous warehouse experience demonstrating reliability, organisational skills, and attention to detail is preferred.
