We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials, support shipping and receiving operations, and maintain efficient warehouse flow. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and experience in warehouse environments. Responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs; report any mechanical issues for further maintenance.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or safety hazards.
- Support stock organisation, replenishment, and order fulfilment activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments.
Experience
- Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Experience in materials handling, load & unload procedures, and shipping & receiving processes.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques.
- Previous warehouse experience demonstrating reliability, organisational skills, and attention to detail is preferred.
