Join our team at The Twenty Two. The Role As a Shift Engineer, you will:
- 4 Days on / 4 Days off working pattern, average of 42 hours per week
- Respond to and resolve maintenance issues across all hotel and club facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, checks, and stock usage in line with compliance and safety standards.
- Work with contractors and vendors when required to complete specialist tasks.
- Support health & safety protocols, including fire alarm testing and emergency lighting.
- Ensure all plant and equipment rooms are maintained to a clean, safe, and professional standard.

About You We are looking for individuals who are passionate about excellence and culture. You will have:
- Previous experience as an engineer or technician in a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
- Competence across general trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) systems and health & safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the building and its services are fully operational at all times.
- Respond to maintenance tickets and reactive tasks promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining statutory logs, risk assessments, and COSHH documentation.
- Liaise with the Front Office and Housekeeping teams to prioritise urgent tasks.
- Support fire safety testing, temperature checks, and emergency callouts.
- Uphold professional standards in uniform, conduct, and communication.
