Role Purpose

The Membership Manager is responsible for driving the growth of The Twenty Two’s private members’ club by actively securing new, high-quality members who align with the brand’s values and community profile. This target-driven role requires disciplined pipeline management, proactive relationship-building, and adherence to sales processes.

The position focuses exclusively on new member acquisition, distinct from the Membership Retention team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify, research, and pursue prospective members aligning with the club’s criteria.
  2. Build and maintain a pipeline of leads, progressing prospects through stages: Targeted, Contacted, Qualified/Engaged, Proposal Sent, Negotiation, Converted.
  3. Develop tailored engagement strategies, including personal introductions, club visits, bespoke events, and outreach.
  4. Prepare and deliver compelling membership proposals reflecting the club’s value.

Target-List Management

  1. Submit an initial Target List of at least 10× the monthly KPI within 10 days of starting.
  2. Maintain an up-to-date Target List with essential data fields.
  3. Update the Target List weekly by Monday 18:00.
  4. For each prospect, prepare a Conversion Map detailing targeting rationale, access path, engagement sequence, timeline, and fallback strategies.

KPI Achievement & Reporting

  1. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly conversion KPIs (e.g., 8/month).
  2. Follow ramp-up expectations during onboarding.
  3. Use dashboards and CRM tools for performance monitoring.
  4. Participate in weekly meetings to report progress and collaborate.
  5. Maintain high data quality standards.

Relationship Building & Brand Representation

  1. Act as an ambassador for the club’s values and culture.
  2. Leverage referrals and social channels to access prospects.
  3. Represent the club at events, hosting and guiding prospective members.

Compliance & Accountability

  1. Follow membership protocols and update Target Lists timely.
  2. Act on coaching and performance feedback.
  3. Comply with data protection policies under UK GDPR.
  4. Uphold disciplinary procedures, including consequences for underperformance.

Performance Measures & KPIs

  1. Monthly membership conversions against targets.
  2. Accuracy of Target List submissions and updates.
  3. Pipeline health and engagement plan adherence.
  4. Participation in reviews and meetings.
  5. Feedback on professionalism and brand alignment.

Compensation Framework

  1. Base salary plus variable bonus up to 20%.
  2. Commission structure with overachievement bonuses, capped per policy.
  3. No variable payout below 70% of quota.
  4. Auto-dismissal consideration from the second month if necessary.
