Founded by international football player Thomas ‘Hal’ Robson-Kanu, The Turmeric Co. is one of the fastest-growing health brands in the UK. We make a range of 100% natural, potent, on-the-go drinks that support the health and wellbeing of people in all walks of life. Perfected for over 20 years and backed by science, our award-winning formula has supported the wellness of over 10,000 people across the UK, and is stocked in the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Selfridges, Whole Foods and Planet Organic. From our HQ in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, we produce every shot ourselves using only raw, functional ingredients – no additives, no sweeteners, no compromises.
The role
We’re recruiting for a hands-on Head of Growth to build and own our direct-to-consumer (DTC) acquisition engine. This is an operator role, not a director-of-directors seat. You’ll be in Ads Manager yourself, briefing and testing creative yourself, and building landing pages yourself – with a lean pod around you that grows as the results earn it. Your mission: scale our new-customer acquisition profitably, owning everything from paid social and creator-led content to landing pages and tracking. If your instinct is to write a strategy and hand off the doing, this isn’t the role. If you love building the machine with your own hands, read on.
The responsibilities
- Build and own a creative-testing flywheel – isolating new concepts, scaling winners and killing losers against a clear, written definition of success.
- Drive high-quality creative volume – deliberately fewer, better ads over sheer quantity.
- Build a lean creator and whitelisting engine, including a VIP tier of health-authority creators (clinicians, nutritionists, dietitians) from our network.
- Build high-converting, pain-point-led landing pages congruent to each ad angle.
- Own honest acquisition tracking – keeping the platform acquiring new customers rather than re-marketing to existing ones, and protecting CAC.
- Turn our founder’s long-form content (YouTube, thought-leadership, broadcast) into an evergreen, systematically clipped owned-media engine.
- Run compliant demand creation within the UK CAP Code, with review built into every workflow.
- Own new-customer share of DTC revenue while keeping CAC in check.
The skillset
- A channel expert with a genuine spike in creator-led acquisition and paid social – someone who lives inside Meta, creative velocity, whitelisting and landing-page economics.
- Fluent in contribution margin, payback and cohort LTV, and disciplined about separating full-price and discount cohorts.
- A doer under constraint – able to achieve more with a lean team and budget than most growth leads.
- Able to build high-converting, organic-feeling creative and run an incentivised creator model compliantly.
- Comfortable holding your nerve while LTV proves out, and equally comfortable pulling spend the moment CAC runs ahead of payback.
The person
- Hands-on operator with a “make it happen” attitude.
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful and biased toward action over agency polish.
- Commercially sharp and data-disciplined.
- Energised by ownership and building from the ground up.
- Passionate about wellbeing and the functional drinks category.
The benefits
- Be part of a mission-driven, founder-led health brand.
- Play a key role in scaling one of the UK’s most exciting FMCG businesses.
- High-autonomy role with real ownership and impact.
- Career progression as the business grows.
- Employee discount on Turmeric Co. shots.
