Weâre recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager in Supply Chain to strengthen our operational, manufacturing, and cost discipline as we scale from ÂŁ10m to ÂŁ100m+. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Manufacturing, acting as the financial owner of COGS, supply chain performance, and operational decision-making. Youâll drive cost transparency, efficiency, and control across our end-to-end supply chain â from raw materials and production yields through to logistics and fulfilment. This is a commercial, hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments where accuracy, pace, and operational understanding really matter.
The responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance partner to Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement and Logistics.
- Own and continuously improve COGS reporting, including:
- Raw material cost movements
- Production yields and waste
- Labour and overhead absorption
- Freight, warehousing and fulfilment costs
- New SKU and NPD costing
- Customer and channel margin analysis
- Production efficiency and run-rates
- Capacity utilisation
- Waste and yield performance
Youâll also support the wider finance function across controlling, cash management, and finance systems projects.
The skillset
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), or equivalent experience (3-5 year pqe).
- Experience in a broad finance role, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, eCommerce or a fast-growth scale-up.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel / Google Sheets capability.
- Confident working with large data sets, models and forecasts.
- Strong communication skills â able to translate operational data into commercial insight.
- Comfortable being hands-on, site-based and close to operations.
