About The Tuition College
The Tuition College is a long-established and highly regarded education centre supporting students aged 6–18. We are particularly proud of our strong Grammar School entrance results and our consistent success at GCSE and A Level.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are expanding our teaching team and are recruiting several experienced and qualified teachers to join our centre. We are building a strong, specialist team of professionals who are passionate about academic progress, exam success, and high-quality tuition.
Current Vacancies
- 11 Plus Tutors – URGENT REQUIREMENT
English | Maths | Verbal Reasoning | Non-Verbal Reasoning (GL Assessment)
This role is ideal for teachers with experience in Grammar Schools, Prep Schools, or specialist 11 Plus provision.
You will work with Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils, preparing them for 11 Plus and Grammar School entrance examinations, with a strong focus on GL Assessment formats, exam technique, and confidence building.
Key Responsibilities – 11 Plus:
- Deliver high-quality 11 Plus tuition in English, Maths, VR & NVR
- Plan and teach structured lessons aligned to Grammar School entrance standards
- Prepare pupils for GL Assessment-style exams
- Use past papers, mock exams and targeted practice
- Develop exam technique, time management and confidence
- Track pupil progress and provide clear feedback to pupils and parents
- Teach small groups (typically 3–10 pupils)
⚠️ This is an urgent requirement, particularly for 11 Plus English specialists.
- GCSE & A Level Teachers
English Language | English Literature | Maths | Biology | Chemistry | Physics
We are also recruiting experienced teachers to support our growing GCSE and A Level provision.
Key Responsibilities – GCSE & A Level:
- Teach GCSE and/or A Level students in your subject specialism
- Deliver engaging, exam-focused lessons to small groups or 1:1
- Support students with subject understanding and exam technique
- Prepare students for mocks, coursework and final examinations
- Provide constructive feedback and progress updates
Essential Requirements (All Roles)
- Minimum 12 months teaching or tutoring experience in the UK
- Degree and recognised teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS)
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Confident teaching small groups and 1:1
- Professional, reliable and well organised
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Additional Requirements – 11 Plus Tutors
- Proven experience preparing pupils for 11 Plus / Grammar School entrance exams
- Strong familiarity with GL Assessment papers
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Years 4–6)
- Ability to balance curriculum teaching with exam strategy
