The Truth Contract / Vision 2061 | Linked In Job Advert
We’re looking for an exceptional operator to help build Britain’s next piece of civic infrastructure - and, for the right person, potentially grow into the person who ultimately runs it.
The Truth Contract is creating Vision 2061: a citizen-led framework for Britain’s long-term renewal.
We are building a high-trust Wisdom Council of 2,061 founding members, a participation platform, and serious research and content that bring expert knowledge and informed public participation together.
The role
Head of Operations
You will become the Founder’s operational counterpart: turning vision into systems, priorities and reliable delivery so he can increasingly focus on research, expert relationships, content and public leadership.
This is not a role where you arrive to manage an established team.
TTC is a start-up.
Until we reach approximately 200 paying Wisdom Council members, the Founder and Head of Operations will remain deliberately hands-on across almost everything, supported by a small number of specialist contractors.
That means you might be designing a process in the morning, configuring the CRM after lunch, reviewing a membership funnel, building a presentation, analysing numbers in Excel, coordinating a campaign or supplier, and using AI or automation to remove tomorrow’s manual work.
- You will
- Build and run TTC’s core systems, processes, operating rhythms and reporting.
- Own the Wisdom Council journey from application and onboarding through payment, engagement, retention and referral.
- Set up and manage CRM, membership tools, automation, lead management and sales pipelines.
- Help build and initially operate the B2C membership acquisition engine across email, campaigns and relevant social channels.
- Coordinate content, contractors, app-development support and day-to-day delivery.
- Create strong presentations and work confidently with spreadsheets, dashboards, AI and modern digital tools.
- Learn what the organisation genuinely needs before helping recruit and lead the team that will scale it.
- You are
- A high-calibre generalist who can think strategically and still enjoys doing the work.
- Experienced in start-up, scale-up or similarly entrepreneurial environments.
- Commercially minded and comfortable with B2C marketing, CRM, funnels and sales pipelines.
- Digitally fluent across CRM, presentation tools, Excel/spreadsheets, social platforms, automation and AI.
- Highly organised, calm under complexity and naturally accountable.
- Intellectually curious and independently minded: willing to question received wisdom while remaining rigorous about evidence.
- Able to challenge a Founder constructively rather than simply execute instructions.
- Ambitious to grow from hands-on builder into senior organisational leadership.
- Where this can lead
As TTC grows, the role should evolve from doing, to building systems, to recruiting and leading the team.
For an exceptional performer, we envisage a path towards COO and potentially, in time, succeeding the Founder as CEO.
Location
UK-based.
You must be able to attend regular in-person meetings near Romsey, Hampshire.
The role is otherwise designed to operate flexibly around the needs of an early-stage organisation.
