Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced ICON Payment Framework (IPF) Developer to join our Payments Change Portfolio team in Knutsford. If you\’re passionate about high-performance financial systems, thrive in a collaborative environment, and bring strong Java development skills, this could be your next big contract.

What You\’ll Do

  • Design and develop payment solutions using ICON Payment Framework (IPF) and Java
  • Integrate with critical systems — from core banking to SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, and AML
  • Execute unit/integration tests and support UAT and production deployment
  • Collaborate with Architects, Analysts, QA, and DevOps in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Ensure delivery aligns with regulatory standards such as PSD2 and ISO 20022

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of Java development experience in financial services
  • 2+ years of hands-on work with Finastra ICON/IPF
  • Deep understanding of payment flows and industry messaging standards (SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, etc.)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, JMS, Oracle/SQL
  • Strong grasp of Agile, CI/CD, Git, and JIRA

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Finastra GPP or other payment hubs
  • Cloud-native experience (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with DevOps and automated testing tools
  • Background in corporate payments or transaction banking
