About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a local organization for a Joinery Apprentice to undertake a Joinery Craft Apprenticeship. This role will involve a combination of site-based work and attendance at college, with the aim of becoming a fully qualified Joiner. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced Joiners and site management, gaining practical skills, technical knowledge, and a strong understanding of health and safety within the construction environment. As a Joinery Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning all aspects of the joinery trade. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical skills, technical knowledge, and industry-recognised qualifications while earning a weekly wage.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Learning and developing skills across all areas of joinery
- Working on live construction sites as part of a team
- Attending college and completing all required assessments
- Developing strong Health & Safety awareness
- Completing the CSCS test
- Building positive working relationships with colleagues
- Carrying out additional duties as part of your learning and development
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- National 5 (or equivalent) minimum in English, Maths, and Woodwork
- Full driving licence (preferably with access to a vehicle)
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
- Ability to demonstrate practical skills
- Some knowledge or interest in the construction industry

- Weekly Apprentice Wage (dependent on age and apprenticeship year):
- Year 1 - All ages: £333.27 per week
- Year 2 - Aged 18 or under: £333.27 per week / Aged 19–20: £452.00 per week / Aged 21 and over: £529.49 per week
- Year 3 - Aged 18 or under: £403.68 per week / Aged 19–20: £452.00 per week / Aged 21 and over: £529.49 per week
- Year 4 - Aged 18–20: £490.33 per week / Aged 21 and over: £529.49 per week
- Structured apprenticeship combining site work and college learning
- Annual wage increases in line with apprenticeship progression
