Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Connector to play a vital role at the Trussell Trust Potters Bar Food Bank. In this rewarding position, you will work closely with a range of partner agencies to support individuals facing poverty and social isolation, helping them access essential services, address financial challenges, and reconnect with their local community in a meaningful and sustainable way.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with individuals to understand their needs and offer tailored support.
  • Linking people with local services, activities, and community groups.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the local area and how communities operate.
  • A genuine passion for helping people build connections.
  • Being in person at the Potters Bar Food Bank for three hours every Saturday, with the remaining two hours completed remotely.

  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, empathetic approach.
