Role OverviewThe Event Operations Assistant will provide operational, administrative, and departmental support, working closely with the wider team to ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will regularly interact with clients and suppliers, acting as a professional, solutions-focused point of contact during this role. Please note this is not an event production role.
Duties- Collate and organise all event-related information, documents, and files.
- Maintain accurate and well-structured event folders and records.
- Provide administrative support across the events and operations departments.
- Support the operational planning and on-site delivery of events.
- Act as a client-facing representative during site visits and live events.
- Carry out regular venue checks and assist with general venue maintenance and upkeep.
- Ensure event spaces are clean, safe, presentable, and event-ready at all times.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers on site (security, cleaning, waste and traffic management).
- Act as an on-site operational point of contact during events.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Outgoing, confident and comfortable in a client-facing environment.
- Calm, practical and effective when working under pressure.
- Strong operational common sense with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Employment is full time; you will be contracted to work 45 hours a week, 9 hours per day. Standard working hours would be Monday to Friday 9am‑6pm. We also request you be flexible to work weekends and evenings when required; weekend work would be in lieu of weekdays. There is a 3‑month probation period. We offer 28 days holiday paid (8 of which are bank holidays). The remaining should be used 5 days per quarter unless agreed in advance. Holiday entitlement begins after your first 3 months of working.
