The Treehouse Club is a multi award winning group of Forestry Nurseries, Preschools and Out of School Clubs in the heart of Essex. Operating for 14 years, we have grown to 12 settings, with a further 3 early this year. We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager who loves the benefits of outdoor education and can expand the setting on our forest school ethos.
Full-time: 4 days per week, 7:30am - 6:30pm with a set day off per week.
We are looking for the Nursery Manager to have:
- Good management experience within a day nursery
- Be passionate about providing the best possible outcomes for children
- An understanding of HR
- An understanding of setting occupancy and how to build on this
- Some understanding of marketing needs, working with the Operations Manager and Marketing Manager
- Good I.T skills including Excel

Nursery Manager Job Role:
- To promote a consistent approach working towards our visions and mission, improving the quality of learning and development in the company’s settings and deploying this.
- Lead the team in providing high standards of care and education for the children.
- To lead Ofsted inspections and work with other local authorities as needed.
- To support with company development.
- Overall management of Health and safety.
- Review setting budget, and spend accordingly for your setting.
- Review Staff development and implement improvement plans, alongside carrying out regular supervisions with the staff.
- Ensure your setting is meeting the company policies and procedures.
- Review setting development plans and target and update accordingly.
- Provide the team with regular training updates, and ensure they are completing their mandatory training regularly.
- Monitor and promote equality.
- Lead the nursery in their self-evaluation and quality assurance processes.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.
- Join weekly calls with the other Managers, Area Managers and Directors to share best practice and to keep up to date with the business.
