Overview
Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon looking for a change from the norm of working within the confines of a traditional veterinary clinic?
We are looking for a full or part time small animal veterinary surgeon to join our expanding team in our independent mobile clinic on the Sheffield/Chesterfield border.
Who we are
The Travelling Vet started in 2017 with one vet (the owner!) and one nurse (who is still with us) has now grown over the years into a great team of four vets, three nurses and four support staff.
Our vets, supported by a nurse or nursing assistant, conduct home visit consultations across Sheffield, Chesterfield and Rotherham using converted vehicles.
Our practice base in Barlborough houses our reception, lab equipment and dispensary and is where we all start and end our working day.
We also have our own operating theatre in Rotherham.
We have a varied consulting workload and a great reputation for providing excellent and personal end of life care in the comfort of owners\' homes.
We pride ourselves on developing great relationships with our clients and their pets as we have much more time to spend with them without the restrictions of traditional vet clinic appointments.
We need an experienced and confident vet to work solely on the road with a nurse or nursing assistant.
We are a small close knit team and want someone who can slot right into this and embrace this different way of working.
On Offer
We can offer flexible hours and lots of our staff work different shifts.
Our working day runs from 8.30am - 6.30pm.
We open Saturday mornings but do no out of hours.
Our focus is to create a great working environment which encourages a sustainable work-life balance.
We are happy to accommodate working hours to suit your family and hobbies.
We encourage and support one another with workloads. The stresses of traditional clinic life are definitely not encouraged here. We enjoy our jobs and live our lives!
