What Is the Opportunity? We’re excited to be hiring for an Associate Claims Operations Professional to join our team based in Redhill or London on a 9 month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to kick-start a career in the insurance industry. We’re looking for an individual with strong communication and organisational skills, and confidence using Excel. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our claims function—harvesting claims data, helping to streamline processes, and handling essential administrative tasks like setting up new claims. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where you’ll gain exposure in the claims function and the wider insurance industry. Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy.

What Will You Do?

  • Carry out administrative tasks, partial claim handling functions, including invoice approval, minor claim adjudication (dispute resolution) and other activities which do not require certification, vendor activity co-ordination.
  • Assist with MI and Analytics, financial control, assessment, monitoring and validation, in accordance with team best practice.
  • Provide functional resiliency by supporting our Claim teams based in multiple locations across Claim Europe.
  • Achieve or surpass service expectations of internal and external customers as agreed by the business.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, business partners, customers, agents and others to achieve organisational goals and create better outcomes.
  • Openly communicate knowledge of actions with manager and colleagues in order to consider and better understand the impact on other technical, operational, sales and financial disciplines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

As an employee you are expected to act in an ethical manner at all times. You will ensure you understand all compliance and regulatory requirements for your role by completing all necessary training and certifications. You will ensure you keep adequate records of all transactions undertaken with customers, brokers and all other parties.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Previous relevant work experience gained within a general insurance claims department or in a general insurance or financial services support role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of I90, Openbox and Lloyds claims systems is preferred.
  • Experience of data entry processes preferred.
  • Basic customer relationship skills.
  • Intermediate written and oral communication skills.
  • As appropriate to location: Ireland: willingness to commence or maintain the Minimum Competency Requirements of the Insurance Institute of Ireland; UK: willingness to commence or continue Chartered Insurance Institute studies.

What is a Must Have?

  • Minimum GCSE level or equivalent educational standard or relevant experience in a claims or claims support role.
