- POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Specialist is responsible for executing and coordinating Trafalgar and Costsaver's organic social media content across multiple platforms.
The role supports daily content creation, audience engagement, and brand-aligned storytelling.
This role contributes to the planning and rollout of platform-specific content, including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, You Tube, and Linked In.
Working closely with the Social Manager and cross-functional Customer teams, the Social Specialist helps manage a forward-planned calendar of recurring content formats, campaign deliverables as well as creating reactive content.
This role supports the full cycle of ideation, asset creation, copywriting, posting, and performance review/analysis.
The role will also support the Social Manager with social media auditing and strategy tasks.
Please note: Strong content management system (CMS) experience and a high degree of confidence in learning new systems is critical to this role.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIE
- MULTI-PLATFORM CONTENT
- Support the delivery of video and static content across all social media platforms, including Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Linked In and You Tube.
- Maintaining Trafalgar and Costsaver’s unique tones of voice and brand identities when creating visual and written content.
- Assist with the ongoing management of platform calendars, ensuring scheduled content is delivered on time.
- Support scripting, planning, editing tasks tied to emerging content series.
- CAMPAIGN MESSAGING AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
- Deliver yield or campaign related posts including confidence building content, interview pieces or story-driven assets
- Assist our Community and Engagement Manager with occasional community management support.
- Work with our community of Travel Director content creators to brief content on a monthly basis.
- COORDINATION AND PLANNING
- Update content trackers and Share Point folders to keep files accessible and version-controlled
- Support our Producer with occasional asset management and tagging support.
- Respond to team requests and changes quickly, adjusting timing or messaging where needed
- SOCIAL REPORTING & OPTIMISATION
- Support the analysis of post and platform performance using analytics tools.
- Produce monthly reports that assesses Trafalgar and Costsaver’s performance against KPIs.
- Ability to use Sprout social for scheduling, reporting, community management and social listening.
- PLATFORM TRENDS & BEST PRACTICE
- Stay current with social media trends, algorithm updates, and content formats, proactively proposing content ideas that reflect evolving consumer behaviour.
- Help ensure all content complies with brand guidelines and platform best practices.

- YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
- 2–3 years' experience in a social media, content, or digital marketing role, ideally within the travel, lifestyle or consumer brand space.
- Strong knowledge of major social platforms, especially Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Linked In and You Tube.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and editing social-first content
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with a flair for tone and visual storytelling.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented and passionate about social media, digital culture and community-building.
