The Role:

We’re building TTC’s Data & AI capability, and this role sits at the heart of it. You’ll design and deliver data products that power analytics, data science, AI and commercial decision-making across a global business, using customer, booking, digital, marketing, commercial and operational data. Working in a modern Snowflake ecosystem, you’ll partner with engineers, analysts, data scientists, Product and Architecture to solve complex business problems and create trusted, reusable data. With the platform still evolving, you’ll help shape standards, patterns and architecture, mentor others, and influence how the team works—while remaining hands-on with the technology from day one onward globally.

What Will You Do?

  • Build scalable, production-grade pipelines and reusable data products that teams across the business genuinely rely on.
  • Model our most important customer and commercial entities so the business works from one trusted version of the truth.
  • Engineer solutions in Snowflake, SQL, Python and modern transformation tooling such as dbt.
  • Raise the bar on testing, data quality, observability, version control and CI/CD, and make good practice the default.
  • Tune workloads for performance, resilience, scalability and sensible cloud cost.
  • Lead technically through design reviews, code reviews and hands-on mentoring.
  • Partner with Data Science, Analytics, Product and Architecture to unlock advanced analytics and AI use cases.
  • Define the reusable engineering patterns that lift the technical maturity of the whole platform.

About You:

Essential:

  • Substantial data engineering experience in a sophisticated, production-scale environment.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in SQL and Python.
  • Strong Snowflake experience, or equivalent depth in another modern cloud data platform.
  • A proven track record designing ELT and ETL pipelines and analytical data models.
  • Practical experience with dbt, orchestration frameworks, Git and CI/CD.
  • A genuine commitment to data quality, testing and observability.
  • Sound engineering judgement, knowing when to build for the long term and when to ship.
  • The credibility to lead technically, influence design decisions and lift standards around you.

Desirable:

  • Experience with complex customer, transactional or behavioural datasets.
  • Experience in an agile, product-led delivery environment.
  • Exposure to data products that support data science or AI use cases.
  • A track record of mentoring engineers or shaping engineering standards.
  • Curiosity about travel, hospitality or global consumer businesses.
