POSITION SUMMARY
The Travel Operations Finance Analyst – OpenAge plays a crucial role in supporting the financial delivery of on‑the‑road activities for the OpenAge brands. This includes direct interaction with Travel Directors and operational staff, processing tour‑related expenses, reconciling optional sales and commissions, and helping resolve finance‑related queries. The analyst ensures accurate, timely, and insightful financial processing that supports operational excellence. The analyst builds trusted working relationships with Tour Managers and Tour Directors by delivering responsive and reliable support. They demonstrate a deep understanding of tour operations and how financial drivers impact performance. Proactively identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, they play a key role in improving operational efficiency and profitability. Their actions contribute to a culture of financial accountability and awareness across operations, while ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.
In this role you will:
- Process Travel Director trip expenses
- Complete earnings letters for TD’s and end of season statements
- Reconcile optional revenue against invoices and payments taken on chip and pin machines
- Reconcile and post bank receipts on excel
- Liaising with Travel Directors regarding their accounts/expenses
- Provide guidance and support to Travel Directors on all aspects of Travel Ops Finance
- Create strong relationships with other departments to deal with queries effectively
- Undertake all taking into consideration GDPR and data protection
Required skills: what you need to be considered
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Fluent in English (both written and oral) essential.
- Excellent communication skills, to confidentially interact with Travel Directors from across Europe and other departments within the company including but not limited to Operations.
- Able to offer support and guidance to team members during busy times.
- Highly organised with the ability to adapt to tasks at hand and prioritise urgent ones.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to change tasks should an urgent task be needed for trips on the road.
- Recognise which tasks command urgency.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- To be meticulous while working in a fast‑paced environment especially during the peak seasons.
- Previous office experience is crucial.
- Ability to work as a team as well as independently.
- Strives to deliver exceptional service with empathy, responsiveness, and a solutions‑focused approach.
- Resilient and remains calm and effective under pressure, persistent through challenges.
- Proactive and flexible attitude and a willingness to work overtime at short notice is essential over busy periods.
