Location: Bideford

What will I be doing?

To work in our busy IT service desk team providing 1st– 2nd line end-user support in a fast-paced environment; to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and services.

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently in line with SLAs.
  • Conduct stock checks regularly to ensure an adequate supply of hardware for end-user support.
  • Work with 2nd and 3rd line engineers to resolve more complex tickets, escalating where necessary.
  • Work with a variety of operating systems, including Microsoft, Apple, and Linux products.
  • Perform hardware upgrades and repairs, such as laptop memory and hard drive replacements.
  • Set up new starter laptops and accounts.
  • Process leavers and ensure safe return of assets.
  • Participate in projects as required.
  • Keeping stock, server rooms and office areas tidy.
  • Attend other offices as required.

Ideally, we’re looking for:

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting end users\’ IT needs.
  • Proficient in providing both 1st and 2nd line IT support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft, Apple, and Linux operating systems.
  • Possession of a full clean UK driving license.
  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services administration
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience supporting Linux technologies.
  • Experience supporting Apple technologies.
  • Experience with PowerShell
