Responsibilities
Employment type: Permanent
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am-5.30 pm
Location: Remote working – on occasion, visiting our head office in Bideford
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate and transform diverse data sources into a unified data model.
- Designing and implementing data models and database schemas to store and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborating with people across the business, including product managers and developers, to define data requirements and understand data usage patterns.
- Optimising data solutions by leveraging techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and caching.
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior data developers and engineers.
- Developing and maintaining data quality assurance processes to verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data.
- Assisting in troubleshooting production issues to resolution, ensuring measures are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Providing out-of-hours support as required in line with organisational SLAs.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
