The Translation People is a long-standing B2B provider of business-critical translation and language services that is entering the next era of localisation with private-equity backing. We are looking to further accelerate our organic growth trajectory combined with a buy-and-build strategy, whilst scaling our strong operational base and service offering to effectively cater for known and newly emerging industry demands.
We are looking to add a proactive and creative customer-centric Sales & Marketing Assistant to join our global Sales team. In this role, the candidate will support our sales team in identifying target buyer personas and creating compelling content tailored to them. The role will involve developing email campaigns (outbound, reactivation, nurturing etc.), newsletter content and blog articles to identify and address customer challenges, drive engagement and conversions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong research, demand generation as well as writing and communication skills to contribute to a dynamic and experienced Sales team. The candidate will report to the Chief Revenue Officer, Svenja Müller.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct research to identify and refine vertical- and role-specific buyer personas, including demographics, pain points, motivations and decision-making processes.
- Analyse customer data and market trends to create targeted messaging strategies.
- Collaborate with sales teams to gain insights into ideal customer profiles and refine messaging accordingly.
- Content Creation & Campaign Management: Write engaging, customer-focused blog articles, social media articles (LinkedIn) and newsletter content tailored to different buyer personas for different media, incl. website and social media to increase brand awareness, educate and generate marketing-qualified leads.
- Develop and execute outbound email campaigns to generate sales qualified leads.
- Assist in the creation of nurturing and re-targeting campaigns, including drip email sequences and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create sales collateral (brochures, one-pagers, PowerPoint presentations, case studies, custom content pieces etc.) aligned with customer needs.
- Work closely with both marketing and sales to ensure content and outreach efforts align with company objectives.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, using key metrics to optimise engagement and conversion rates.
- Manage and update CRM/email marketing tools (HubSpot) with accurate customer and lead data.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor content strategies and best practices in digital marketing.
- Assist in social media content planning and execution, ensuring alignment with overall marketing efforts.
- Support event marketing initiatives, including webinars, trade shows and networking opportunities.
- Working towards tailored KPIs, e.g. engagement, campaign open rates etc.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in marketing, sales support or content creation roles.
- Strong research and analytical skills to define and refine buyer personas.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and a passion for storytelling.
- Experience with CRM systems and email marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Mailchimp, Hootsuite etc.).
- Experience with PowerPoint presentation creation.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and content marketing strategies.
- Basic understanding of LLMs, e.g. ChatGTP.
- An interest in design and visuals and experience in asset creation using e.g. PowerPoint and Canva.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Understanding of the localisation industry or strong interest in the field.
- English to native-speaker standard.
While this position is primarily home-based, attendance at one of our UK offices will be required from time-to-time. It is therefore our preference that you are based in the UK, but we would also be happy to consider candidates from overseas who fit the above profile and can make travel arrangements as needed.
