The Trampery is seeking an experienced Head of Facilities to provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across multiple sites.
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: Monday – Friday (37.5 hrs per week)
Base salary: £50,000
Location: Any Trampery Site
Reports to: CEO
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Provide strategic leadership and a hands-on approach to managing facilities operations across all sites. Lead and manage the Facilities Team, providing clear direction, support, and professional development opportunities. Set team goals and performance expectations; regularly review progress and provide constructive feedback. Act as the primary point of contact for facilities-related issues, ensuring high standards of service delivery. Foster a positive team culture, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Facilities Operations: Oversee the maintenance, operation, and overall condition of all facilities across multiple sites. Develop and implement facilities management strategies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and long-term improvements. Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring all facility issues are resolved according to SLAs (Service Level Agreements). Ensure all sites meet agreed operational, safety and presentation standards through effective systems, contractors and internal processes. Oversee scheduling of regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building systems and equipment. Manage security systems, access controls, and fire safety measures to protect company assets and staff. Ensure all communal spaces, workstations, and shared equipment are maintained to a high standard. Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency. Forecast future facilities expenses and allocate budget resources accordingly. Manage procurement processes for facilities-related services and supplies, ensuring value for money. Negotiate and oversee contracts with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Evaluate facilities-related expenditure and identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency.
- H&S Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain up-to-date documentation, including fire risk assessments (FRA), health and safety policies, and incident reports. Monitor and address potential hazards and safety concerns in a proactive manner. Schedule and coordinate health and safety training for staff and ensure it is up to date. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions where necessary. Oversee emergency response protocols and ensure all staff are informed of procedures.
- IT Network Management: Maintain good understanding of network and WiFi infrastructure to oversee suppliers, escalate issues appropriately and ensure service continuity.
- Project Management: Lead facilities upgrade and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion. Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders. Create and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress, deadlines, and budget adherence in collaboration with the Project Manager. Oversee installation and implementation of new systems, ensuring minimal disruption. Report project outcomes and lessons learned to senior management.
- Reporting: Produce regular facilities-related reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the facilities team against key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency. Conduct post-project reviews in collaboration with the Project Manager and analyse feedback to refine future approaches. Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance facilities management processes.
- Environmental and Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental impact. Monitor energy consumption, water usage, and waste reduction across all sites. Introduce and promote eco-friendly practices such as recycling, energy-efficient lighting, and reduced plastic use. Collaborate with the community team to raise awareness and engagement with sustainability goals.

- Minimum 3 years experience in managing Hard Services: M&E, HVAC and other building systems in commercial spaces
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable qualifications and skills:
- Experience operating at head-of-function level is highly desirable.
- Certified Facility Manager: CFM, IWFM or equivalent
- NEBOSH certified
- Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
