As Senior Pigment Analyst, you own Trainline's FP&A platform and drive the end-to-end model architecture and governance. You will build and maintain Pigment models supporting budget, forecast, and performance packs, while automating reporting and enabling self-service for commercial partners. You collaborate with Data and Engineering to ensure clean data flows and communicate complex platform concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This is a pivotal role in Trainline's finance transformation, offering hands-on influence over reporting automation and analysis that shapes growth.
Pay / Benefits
- Own the Pigment FP&A platform as the internal expert, including governance, version control, and daily maintenance.
- Develop and maintain Pigment models supporting budgeting, rolling forecast, monthly close packs, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Automate reporting workflows to replace workbook-based processes and free up time for value-adding analysis.
- Design self-service tools enabling Commercial Finance partners to run scenarios independently.
- Stay updated with Pigment roadmap and lead testing/rollout of new features (e.g., Modeler Agent, AI-assisted builds).
- Collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to ensure reliable data flows into Pigment and alignment with broader data infrastructure.
- Translate complex platform concepts for non-technical stakeholders and manage delivery expectations.
- Document and improve model governance, testing, data validation, and audit trails.
Tasks
- Hands-on experience with Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar EPM/planning tool; direct Pigment experience is a plus.
- Strong technical systems skills with data structures, formula logic, dimension hierarchies, and model architecture.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical platform solutions.
- Clear, confident communication to non-technical stakeholders and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Methodical, detail-oriented approach with governance and documentation discipline.
- Ideally FP&A or commercial finance experience and understanding of budgeting/forecasting cycles.
- Experience automating reporting workflows and familiarity with data integration/ETL concepts (Snowflake, dbt).
- Experience in a high-growth tech business, marketplace, or consumer-facing environment (beneficial).
