Guardian Studios is looking for a social producer to help create engaging social content that supports Guardian’s long‑form video output. The role involves developing and producing visual content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, collaborating closely with on‑screen talent, and shaping the social strategy around new shows.

Responsibilities

  • Create visual content for Guardian Studios shows (primarily Instagram and TikTok) to engage and inform a global audience.
  • Make social an integrated part of the editorial vision for each show.
  • Devise best‑practice visual style, tone of voice and format for social promotion, posts and videos.
  • Produce social‑first, talent‑led content alongside on‑screen talent.
  • Produce cut‑down clips of shows for social.
  • Monitor, analyse and measure social engagement across all channels and optimise content (title, images, graphics and other metrics) based on performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and producing talent‑led social‑first content.
  • Experience producing social clips and other assets for off‑platform audiences.
  • Deep understanding of social media analytics and best ways to track performance and engagement.
  • Experience making social content that successfully promotes editorial video output.
  • Demonstrable success creating social content that consistently drives engagement and reach.
  • Experience in social media channel management with strategic understanding of community cultivation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with high‑profile on‑screen talent.
  • Collaborative, open and inclusive approach.
  • Demonstrable ability to bring a diverse perspective to the role.

Contract Type

12‑month fixed‑term contract or internal staff secondment.

Location and Work Arrangements

Hybrid environment – at least three days a week from the Kings Cross office in central London. Many staff work flexibly, and all requests for flexible working arrangements will be considered.
