Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve success in school?
Responsibilities- Provide pastoral and mentoring support for students across Key Stages 3–5.
- Build strong relationships, supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Help students engage positively with school life.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Experience working with young people in a school, youth work or support setting.
- Ability to work as part of a team and make a real difference to students’ wellbeing and progress.
- Experience with SEND is advantageous, but training and support will be provided.
- DBS check required.
- Comprehensive training programme, including trauma‑informed crisis prevention training (CPI).
- 30 minutes Administration & Development time each day.
- Supportive team environment and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
Garratt Park School is a special school for children and young people aged 11‑19 with moderate learning difficulties and other special needs disabilities, including Autism, SCLN, sensory impairments and a small number with more complex needs. Situated in the inner London borough of Wandsworth.
