Thames Estuary Partnership is seeking an experienced and passionate Learning & Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of innovative education, training, and community engagement programmes focused on ocean literacy, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability across the River Thames and Estuary.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role will play a key part in delivering the Thames Catchment Community Eels Project and work collaboratively with partners to create engaging, inclusive educational initiatives and outreach programmes, particularly for under‑served communities and young people exploring green careers.

Requirements

  • Experience in environmental education, sustainability, community engagement, or a related field
  • Strong programme or project management experience
  • Experience developing educational content, workshops, or learning programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills
  • Passion for climate resilience, conservation, sustainability, or ocean literacy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with charities, environmental organisations, local authorities, education providers, or community‑focused programmes would be highly beneficial.

Benefits and Contract

  • Hybrid – London / Remote (UCL Bloomsbury Campus 1.5 days per week).
  • 4 days per week (0.8 FTE).
  • 9‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract.
  • Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 per annum (pro rata) + 28 days holiday (pro rata) + UCL closure days + benefits.
