The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support academic staff and professional services. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the role will provide professional advice and support across designated departments and play a key role in delivering a comprehensive and effective HR service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and support to managers and employees across designated departments, including academic staff and professional services.
  • Deliver a comprehensive and effective HR service in partnership with HR colleagues.
  • Offer accurate guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practice, covering recruitment, contract changes, sickness absence management, employee relations, performance management and HR administration.
  • Lead recruitment campaigns, including senior-level appointments, guiding managers through interviews and selection processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven advisory-level HR professional with practical experience in HR policies, employee relations, sickness management and contract variations.
  • Strong track record in managing recruitment campaigns and senior-level appointments.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and best practice, ideally supported by a CIPD qualification.
  • Experience within Higher Education or the Arts sector with a clear understanding of the HR issues specific to these environments.

This role is eligible for hybrid working.
