We have an exciting new opportunity to join a busy multi‑disciplinary coastal and flood engineering team, managing flood and erosion risk on the south coast. Coastal Partners provides a Coastal Risk Management Service to Havant Borough Council, Portsmouth City Council, Gosport Borough Council, Fareham Borough Council and Chichester District Council, improving community resilience and enhancing the natural environment in response to the risks from flooding and coastal erosion. This area includes three major harbours of significant environmental importance and over 246 km of coastline.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of beach management plans as a Team Leader/Subject Matter Expert on the Client Delivery Team.
- Coordinating and overseeing all beach management activities with delivery partners and across the capital projects portfolio.
- Preparing and submitting funding applications and ensuring compliance with environmental constraints.
- Managing grant funding and multi‑year budgets, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
- Applying NEC4 contract frameworks for capital and revenue projects and providing supervision to junior team members.
- Driving communication and engagement plans, procurement strategies, contract management and consistent project management processes.
- Monitoring coastal surveys and processes to adapt beach management activities.
Qualifications Required:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Water and Coastal Management or a related discipline.
- Experience in leading and developing small teams.
- Experience applying for grant funding and managing multi‑year budgets.
- Experience with NEC4 contracts is desirable.
