Birmingham Settlement has been working since 1899 to create opportunity and choice. We invite you to join our Money Advice Team as either an experienced Debt & Welfare Benefits Adviser or a Trainee Adviser.
Salary: £30,000 per annum for experienced adviser; £25,000 per annum for trainee (review after 6 months).
Hours and benefits: 35 hours per week, 25 days annual leave, contributory pension scheme, and a supportive work environment.
As an experienced adviser you will bring a background in providing high-quality debt and welfare benefits advice to a wide range of clients. As a trainee you will have basic knowledge of debt and benefit issues, some experience in an advice or customer-facing service, and a willingness to undertake training and development.
You will be based at our Newtown office, perform outreach work across the city, and must be adaptable, communicate effectively, enjoy flexibility, and manage your own workload.
The role is part of a professional Money Advice Team that delivers specialist, holistic advice and trains staff to improve money management and financial capability across all debt and welfare benefit areas.
