The predicted salary is between 35019 - 49767 £ per year.

£35,019 - £49,767 per annum

Stockport (potential for deployment at other sites if required and mutually agreed)

Hours: 35 hours per week (24 hours teaching / 11 hours departmental duties)

Pension contribution: 28.68% (FTE)

This role may be eligible for a special levelling up premium payment! If you’re within your first 5 years of teaching, or just starting out, you could claim between £2000 and £6000 extra!

The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced teacher of GCSE Mathematics to join the English and Maths team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential for successful futures.

GCSE Mathematics is at the core of Study Programmes for 16-18 learners across the Group, providing learners who are yet to achieve a Grade 4 with the opportunity to improve their mathematics skills and GCSE Grade in order to progress in their education and employment.

The Role:

Working as part of our highly experienced GCSE Mathematics team, you will benefit from and contribute to our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment in your specialist subject. Engaging learners in maths and helping them to overcome barriers which they may have faced in the past is at the heart of what we do at TSCG, making maths relevant, practical and enjoyable with a commitment to securing positive outcomes for all those we teach. This role will require you to deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a quality learning experience for our students. You will be required to help develop the curriculum and implement teaching and learning strategies that enable our students to succeed and thrive in their chosen subject area.

About you:

If you are passionate about your specialist subject and sharing your knowledge, skills and experience and have an enthusiasm for supporting young people and adults in this field then there has never been a better time to join the Trafford & Stockport College Group. Candidates with recent experience of teaching post-16 GCSE or Secondary GCSE Mathematics would be ideally suited to this role. A Mathematics degree is not essential, however clear evidence of maths subject specialism in related disciplines would be required. This role would be suitable for both Newly Qualified Teachers or experienced practitioners. The role offers access to ongoing Internal and External CPD opportunities which will support personal and professional development, including subject specific CPD.
