Position: Lecturer – Psychology (Part‑time, Permanent, 0.6 post).

Salary: £21,011.40–£29,860.20 per annum pro rata.

Hours: 21 hours per week.

Location: Marple campus, Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG).

We invite an experienced Lecturer of A Level Psychology to deliver the AQA curriculum to Years 12 and 13, and provide additional teaching of the AAQ Health and Social Care module (0.2 post) contingent on student recruitment. The role offers freedom to shape curriculum and develop resources, and supports a student‑centred learning environment that consistently achieves strong value‑added scores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality teaching of the AQA A Level Psychology specification to Year 12 and Year 13 students.
  • Deliver the AAQ Health and Social Care module, creating opportunities for employability skills, vocational application and progression to further education, apprenticeships or employment.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum, assessment strategies and learning resources to enable student success.
  • Support all learners to reach their full potential, fostering a sense of belonging and ambition.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the new AAQ provision, taking ownership of curriculum planning and resource development.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Psychology or a related subject; teaching qualification preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge of the AQA A Level Psychology specification.
  • Experience teaching at A Level or in a similar academic environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching, supporting diverse learners.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
