Trade Recruit is pleased to be working with a well-established and growing electrical services company providing reliable, high-quality electrical solutions to homeowners, landlords, and businesses across Cumbria and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for a qualified, experienced, and motivated electrician who is confident working independently in the field. You will carry out a wide range of electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance tasks, as well as take part in solar PV and battery storage installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical installation works across domestic and small commercial properties.
  • Install, commission, and maintain solar PV and battery storage systems.
  • Perform inspection and testing duties where qualified (EICRs, certification, fault finding).
  • Work safely and in compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, engineers, and the company director.
  • Complete project documentation, test sheets, and job reports accurately.
  • Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
  • Always represent the company professionally, providing excellent customer service.
  • Undertake additional training and upskilling as solar and renewable sectors evolve.
Requirements
  • Essential: Fully qualified in electrical installation (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to safety and detail.
  • Desirable (but not essential): Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
  • Solar PV installation experience or solar/battery training.
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
