Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Presteigne (LD8 2UF). This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong experience in solar PV and battery storage systems to join a forward-thinking renewable energy company delivering high-quality domestic and commercial installations.
You will play a key role in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of renewable energy systems across Powys, Shropshire, Herefordshire, and occasionally further afield.

Location & Work Pattern
- Based in: Presteigne (LD8 2UF)
- Field-based role covering Powys, Shropshire & Herefordshire
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Overtime & occasional weekend work available
- Start Date: Immediate / Negotiable
Key Responsibilities
- Design and install solar PV and battery storage systems
- Carry out testing, inspection, and commissioning
- Work on both domestic and commercial installations
- Ensure compliance with current electrical and safety regulations
- Diagnose faults and carry out maintenance and repairs
- Provide technical advice and professional support to clients
Requirements
- Must Have
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS7671)
- AM2 qualification
- Battery storage installation experience
- 3-5 years experience as a qualified electrician
- Experience across domestic and commercial environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Solar PV qualification
- Additional renewable energy certifications
Special Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally further afield
- Strong work ethic and excellent customer-facing skills
