Our client is a growing renewable energy company committed to delivering high-quality solar and battery systems, backed by outstanding customer care. They believe in doing things properly, looking after people, and building a business everyone can be proud of. They are now looking for a Technical Support Engineer (Electrician) to become the go-to person for after-sales technical support. This is a varied role combining customer-facing technical support with hands-on electrical work, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Customer Care
- Act as the main point of contact for all after-sales technical enquiries
- Support customers with fault-finding and troubleshooting of solar PV and battery systems
- Liaise with manufacturers to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Ensure customers feel informed, supported, and well looked after
- Take ownership of issues from first contact through to resolution
- Electrical & On-Site Support
- Assist installation teams on-site when required
- Carry out electrical works including wiring batteries, inverters, and associated systems
- Provide additional technical expertise and guidance to the wider team
You will effectively lead this function, with support from experienced engineers within the business.
What We're Looking For
- Essential Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Desirable
- Experience with solar PV, battery storage, or renewable energy systems
- Previous experience in a technical support or after-sales role
- Good understanding of inverter and battery technologies
