Role Overview
This role is ideal for a qualified, experienced, and motivated electrician who is confident working independently in the field. You will carry out a wide range of electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance tasks, as well as take part in solar PV and battery storage installations. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation works across domestic and small commercial properties.
- Install, commission, and maintain solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Perform inspection and testing duties where qualified (EICRs, certification, fault finding).
- Work safely and in compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.
- Communicate clearly with customers, engineers, and the company director.
- Complete project documentation, test sheets, and job reports accurately.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
- Always represent the company professionally, providing excellent customer service.
- Undertake additional training and upskilling as solar and renewable sectors evolve.
Requirements
Essential:
- Fully qualified in electrical installation (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition qualification.
- 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to safety and detail.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Inspection Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Solar PV installation experience or solar/battery training.
- Experience with renewable energy technologies.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
