We are seeking a strategic and dependable payroll leader to manage and scale The Trade Deskβs payroll operations across the EMEA region. This London-based role is a key part of our global payroll function and offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive process improvements, and collaborate across international teams.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Payroll Operations & Compliance: Oversee monthly payroll processing across 9 EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
- Process Optimization & Controls: Assess and improve payroll processes and controls for scalability and efficiency, leveraging systems such as Workday and CloudPay.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with People, Compensation, Benefits, Compliance, and Workday Product teams to ensure seamless payroll integration and support broader organizational initiatives.
- Vendor Management & Reporting: Manage relationships with external payroll providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Global Support & Standardization: Provide support to APAC and NAMER payroll teams as needed and contribute to the design and implementation of standardized global payroll processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you bring to The Trade Desk:
- Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations, including new country setup.
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in payroll systems (Workday HCM, CloudPay) and integrations.
- Deep understanding of payroll principles, equity compensation, and benefit taxation.
- Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a SOX-compliant, publicly traded company environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
- CIPP certification is a plus.
