Responsibilities

Here at The Trade Desk, we are in search of a Sales Development Representative to fill a full-time position and join our growing sales team! This position will be vital to the success of our business and will be rewarding for someone who has a no-fail mentality and is interested in building a career in sales. In this role, you pursue outbound brand prospects in the EMEA region, seeking to increase our outbound demand velocity.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Effectively construct and execute outbound outreach to a defined prospect list
  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives
  • Conduct high-level intro conversations: Listening and understanding each prospect's individual goals and challenges; accurately assess individual customer needs and issues to recommend appropriate features, benefits and value of TTD
  • Spend several hours a day on the phone with prospective clients
  • Personally responsible for meeting monthly individual goals and job SLAs
  • Work closely with Growth Team Sales and Marketing to provide feedback on campaign performance, improve lead qualification, and lead scoring
  • Help manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce and other (CRM) tools
  • Determine the appropriate business approach for potential clients

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of relevant business development experience
  • Comfort and confidence with cold calling and sending outbound emails every day
  • Able to promote/sell ideas persuasively
  • You are a complex problem solver; not only are you able to effectively uncover a client’s business challenge, but you are able to make thoughtful recommendations on how to solve them
  • You're interested in getting to know the ins and outs of Business Development at a technology company and set the foundations for a successful career in sales
  • Previous advertising technology experience is preferred
  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member
  • A fundamental understanding of the sales process
  • Experience with Salesforce or internal CRM tools is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams (customer success, talent, legal, finance, marketing, operations etc.)
