The Torridon is a family‑owned, five‑star boutique resort set amidst 58 acres of magnificent parkland on the shores of Loch Torridon in the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by rugged mountains, dramatic scenery, and shimmering lochs, it offers one of Scotland’s most spectacular and secluded escapes.

Responsible To: F&B Supervisor / Assistant Manager

Purpose of the Role: To deliver a five-star, professional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring every interaction exceeds expectations and creates memorable experiences. The role supports the smooth, efficient, and faultless operation of food and beverage service across the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience & Service
    • Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service at all times
    • Serve food and beverages across breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and room service
    • Anticipate guest needs and deliver a “+1” service experience
    • Communicate confidently with guests to ensure expectations are exceeded
    • Handle guest requests and feedback promptly and professionally
  • Service Delivery
    • Prepare and maintain restaurant and service areas to 5★ standards
    • Assist with hosting, seating, and serving guests
    • Support smooth coordination between kitchen and front of house
    • Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of all service areas
    • Assist with polishing, cleaning, and resetting for service
  • Team Support
    • Work collaboratively with the F&B team to maintain a positive and productive environment
    • Support colleagues during busy service periods
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen and other departments
  • Productivity & Organisation
    • Assist with stock control, restocking, and equipment organisation
    • Ensure all service duties are completed efficiently and on time
    • Follow SOPs and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
  • Health & Safety
    • Follow all food hygiene, allergen, and licensing regulations
    • Maintain a safe working environment at all times
    • Report hazards or issues using “see it, sort it, fix it” approach
  • Sustainability
    • Work in line with The Torridon’s sustainability policies
    • Minimise waste and support environmentally responsible practices
