The Torridon is a family‑owned, five‑star boutique resort set amidst 58 acres of magnificent parkland on the shores of Loch Torridon in the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by rugged mountains, dramatic scenery, and shimmering lochs, it offers one of Scotland’s most spectacular and secluded escapes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guests & Quality
    • Supervise and prepare the housekeeping of all resort public areas to 5*-Forbes standards.
    • Supervise and prepare housekeeping of resort bedrooms to a 5-star-Forbes standard.
    • Supervise and assist with washing and ironing of guest laundry – Forbes standard.
    • Communicate with guests during their stay so their expectations are exceeded.
    • Supervise and assist with Turndown service to a +1 Forbes-standard.
    • Quality check arrival bedrooms to ensure ready for arrival and exceed expectations.
    • Report any faults, breakages, or sub-standard quality in rooms to head housekeeper.
    • Supervise and assist with guest housekeeping requests.
  • Team
    • Liaise with A/HHK in co-ordinating the team for housekeeping shifts.
    • Performance supervises to ensure every team member is a top performer.
    • Performance supervises your team members on shift with you so they are working in a positive and productive friendly environment.
    • Report development to A/HHK.
    • Supervise and assist with the cleaning of team bedrooms for new arrivals and team areas.
    • Supervise and assist with the washing of team uniforms.
  • Productivity
    • Re-stock and replenish equipment and supplies in the cupboards.
    • Monitor stock and request orders to ensure the shift is efficient without running out of specific items.
    • Ensure all machinery and equipment is in good working order.
    • Ensure that room cleaning timed schedules for preparing arrival and stay-over rooms are supervised to meet deadlines.
    • Supervise and assist with organising and distribution of laundry and linen.
    • Follow SOPs and make suggestions as required if efficiency and effectiveness can be improved.
  • Health & Safety
    • Supervise the health and safety on shift, record and diagnose hazards.
    • Ensure complete compliance of self and team with Health & Safety regulations.
    • Ensure the psychological safety of all team members so they do not fear speaking to you or any other member of the team.
  • Sustainability
    • Proactively supervise ESG on your shift in reducing energy consumption and wastage, and create ideas for embedding the policy within your team and your department.
    • Be able to clearly communicate our ESG policy and Earth Check to the team, guests, and suppliers.
