We proudly serve many industries including construction, agriculture, automotive and engineering across Ireland. We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent trade Counter Assistant.
Overview
Due to ongoing growth at The Toolshed Coalisland, we are looking for an experienced Trade Counter assistant to join our team. If youre passionate about customer service and have solid knowledge of tools and power tools, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values expertise and teamwork.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Maintain high standards of customer care and service throughout all interactions
- Advising customers on the right products based on their needs
- Sales order entry on the computer system
- Electronic Stock Management (stock taking, booking orders in, adding new products etc.)
- Processing payments via Card & Cash
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Raising purchase orders
- Dealing with sales enquiries via phone, email or face to face
- Merchandising in the shop & showroom
- Some manual handling
The Person
- Proven experience in a trade counter or customer-facing sales environment
- Strong product knowledge, particularly in tools and power tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for helping others
- Reliable & hard working
- Must be approachable and have a positive attitude
- Must be able to use own initiative
- Willing to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- 4 GCSEs
Desirable:
- Previous experience using Intact
