The Role: To teach students within our secondary provision in our Adventurers and Pioneers cohort. Inscape House School is a non-maintained ASC specialist day school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years.
Salary: Grade 3 - £36,040 Grade 4 - £43,150
Location: Inscape House School, Cheadle, Stockport
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, 52 weeks
Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term
Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive:
- Understand National Curriculum requirements.
- Adapt the teaching of the National Curriculum to meet the varying learning needs of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions.
- Where appropriate teach accredited courses such as Entry Level, Functional Skills or GCSE in a specific subject discipline.
- Develop high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge, both academically and socially.
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect considering pupils’ sensory needs.
- Effectively deploy Education Assistants (EAs) to facilitate learning, ensuring that all support positively impacts on the development of every pupil’s independence.
- Create and maintain a high level of accountability on EAs for the learning and development of pupils.
