The role involves developing fundraising strategies and providing advice support to help sustain and expand our projects across Africa. Our initiatives focus on wildlife conservation, community development, and environmental sustainability, aiming to make a tangible difference in local communities and natural habitats.
Project Objectives
- Execute major projects annually, targeting a budget of c£50,000+, with documented success from previous years (e.g., water projects, wildlife conservation, women's empowerment, food security, oceanic projects, and raptor rehabilitation).
- Undertake up to four additional projects yearly, demonstrating impact across our four pillars of conservation, community, education, and health.
Candidate Profile
Experience in developing fundraising strategies and bid writing is essential. The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and passionate about making a difference in Africa's wildlife and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize campaigns and events to raise funds and in-kind donations.
- Research and identify potential donors, including individuals and corporations.
- Develop compelling fundraising messages and outreach strategies.
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Apply for grants and funding opportunities, both restricted and unrestricted.
- Evaluate campaign success and report on outcomes.
Additional Information
The role includes engaging with various fundraising formats such as annual campaigns, capital projects, corporate and major-gift solicitations, and planned giving. Knowledge of tax law related to charitable giving is a plus but not mandatory.
